Answer: UNO means complete upazila executive officer. He is a senior officer of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration Cadre.

Defense: What is the work of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer?

Answer: Upazila Nirbahi Officer is representing the national government in its Upazila as a whole. He coordinated the work in all the offices of the upazila under the directives of the government. It is also part of one of his key tasks to provide secretarial assistance to the Upazila Parishad. He performed all kinds of protocols in his upazila. Important national day celebrations are celebrated under his instructions. He played an important role in the national and local government elections in the government.

Answer: Ministry of Public Administration controls the posting and transfer of UNO. He is directly working under the Deputy Commissioner and Divisional Commissioner. He has represented all the government in the field level.
